Welcome to Luxe Academy

Welcome to Luxe Academy!  I am so excited that you have decided to take a leap of faith by investing in yourself and in your dreams.  I promise you that it will be worthwhile!

Teaching has always been one of my passions.  From the hot summers that I spent under an oak tree teaching the children in my neighborhood to officially launching my YouTube Channel, Living Luxuriously for Less- I have always aspired to teach others.  Consequently, my mission in life was to teach others how to live beautifully, creatively, and luxuriously for less.  Initially, my channel was centered on sharing helpful lifestyle tips.  In order to maintain that element of transparency with my community while maintaining my privacy, I decided to share more of my passion for event planning.  As fate would have, I eventually found my niche.   

The questions began to pour in and I had to find a solution to reach a massive amount of people in a minimum about of time.  Thus, Luxe Academy was birthed.  With this course, I am sharing with you the information that I wish I had available to me when I began this journey.  No fluff, no long drawn out segments to get to the one answer that you really wanted, no questions avoided, and no strings attached.   I wanted a real course, with real questions, real information, and real solutions.   I wanted something that gives you the tools that you need to build the dreams in your heart and to put money in your hands.

Element One: Understanding the Roles and Assignments of Event Planners, Designers, Coordinators and Decorators

One of the most common misconceptions about event design and décor is understanding roles and responsibilities.  

I would like to take this moment to properly introduce you to the four core roles of any event: Event Planner, Event Coordinator, Event Designer, and Event Decorator. While you can just focus on one or two roles; it is imperative that you understand each function so that you can carry out your assignment flawlessly and charge your clientele accordingly.  {This information alone is going to be worth some of your investment in the class}.

Many people use the term “event planner” interchangeably with the term “event designer,” when in actuality the two roles could not be any more different. In this section we will take a closer look at each role, the duties performed, and how each role should be compensated…
